Water sports

The 10 km long Möhnesee is perfect for lovers of water sport lovers. From Sankt Meinolf it takes you less than 10 minutes to the lake. You can lose yourself surfing, sailing, swimming and fishing. Another possibility is a tour around the lake with a motor-boat or sailing. The sailing season begins on March 15 and ends on November 15. Three Sailing schools offer courses for beginners and advanced sailers. On the south side of the lake is a surf school with changing and shower facilities.

The Möhnesee is a paradise for lovers of fish. Fishing is allowed in many places. It is also possible to rent a (rowing) boat and go on to the lake for fishing. Pike, perch and eel can be found in abundance.

Swimming in the Möhnesee is possible from two beaches and a bathing area.
